Aluminum Composite - 3 mm

3mm light weight and long lasting Sheet composed of two layers of .008" aluminum with a solid polyethylene core making it a great alternative to solid aluminum (or plywood) panels typically used outdoors.

Although ACP is an extremley durable product. ACP's hard surface and sharp edges can cause scratches to its surface when sign panels are being unpackaged and/or installed so by default ACP has our Gloss Laminate option is selected.

Our Gloss laminate is a premium product that works as a dry erase, has great optical clarity and is resistant to all graffiti that can be removed using isophopyl alcohol. However, you should always select our polypropylene based Anti-Graffiti Laminate if you wish to use harsher solvents than isophopil alocohol to remove graffiti. Harsh solvents like acetone will "melt" our regular Gloss Laminate.

You can also order ACP without any laminate as a very economical option but Signboom will not replace or warrant unlaminated ACP for scratched surfaces.

Finishing
  • CNC Cut to PDF Dimensions
  • Gloss Laminate (Premium Cast / Graffiti Resistant / Optically Clear / Dry Erase)

  • Maximum print size without tiling is 48"x 96"

Orientation Does Not Matter

When the orientation of your sign relative to the media does not matter, we will print the sign in the orientation that minimizes waste. If your sign is made of Coroplast and you wish to control the direction of the flutes, choose the Vertical Flutes or Horizontal Flutes finishing options.

Vertical Flutes

Your sign will be printed with the flutes running vertically ("Flutes Up").

Horizontal Flutes

Your sign will be printed with the flutes running horizontally.

Low Speed ( Viewing Distance under 1 foot )

Our Low Speed Print Mode uses a fixed dot size of 1000 dpi utilizing both Dark and Light inks and a White Ink Spot Colour Channel ( 9 colours CMYKcmykW).

Use this Print Mode only if you have signage with a very close viewing distance or if the Signage is dominated with large areas of  solid colour that require our most accurate pantone colour matching.

There is small additional cost to select Low Speed Mode and it will add one day onto your lead-time due to the slower print speed.

Note: Each of our three modes (Low, Standard and High Speed) have different colour gamuts and may not match one another especially in solid colour areas. Therefore, it is best to choose the same print mode should you have a variety of signage for the same project or event.

Standard Speed ( Viewing Distance 1-5 feet )

Our Standard Speed Print Mode uses a variable dot size of 600 dpi utilizing both Dark and Light inks and a White Ink Spot Colour Channel ( 9 colours CMYKcmykW).

This is the default mode for almost all signage as the speed is good and the image quality is great even viewed very close up. However, if you have signage with a very close viewing distance or if the Signage is dominated with large areas of  solid colour that require our most accurate pantone colour matching you should switch to our Low Speed option

There is no additional cost to select Standard Speed Mode and the lead-time is faster than Low Speed Mode nut not as vast as Hign Speed on Large orders.

Note: Each of our three modes (Low, Standard and High Speed) have different colour gamuts and may not match one another especially in solid colour areas so it is best to choose the same mode should you have a variety of signage for the same project or event.

High Speed ( Call for Quote - Large Orders Only )

Large Orders Only ( over 3000 square feet )  - Please Call for Quote as Prices and Leadtimes may vary considerably from our online calculations

Our High Speed Print Mode uses a variable dot size of 600 dpi with Dark inks only plus a White Ink Spot Colour Channel ( 5 Colour CMYKW ) allowing for at least double the printing speed of our Standard Mode (9 Colour CMYKcmykW ). This gives us the ability to turn around quality signage even for very large ordesr within 24-48 hours from the point Print Ready artwork is available.

This mode is used only for very large orders over 3000 square feet that require a fast turn around time. The image quality is still good even veiwed close up. Large solid colour areas look good as well but if your signage is dominated by large areas of solids rather than images you may want to choose Low or Standard speeds should time allow.

Note: Each of our three modes (Low, Standard and High Speed) have different colour gamuts and may not match one another especially in solid colour areas so it is best to choose the same mode should you have a variety of signage for the same project or event.
